Fast makeup for Friday night (from your desk)!

Hi Fashionsistas,

Back in my corporate office days I used to do a fast makeup change from day to night before heading out for Friday night drinks to ring in the weekend. Today Ive filmed a quick video on my favourite Friday night makeup look, which is a soft smokey eye with bold red lips!

This look is really easy to achieve and you can do it from your desk in just a few minutes. I used a really easy technique to quickly smoke my eyes out without using black eyeshadow because using eyeshadow needs a little more time to build up a smokey eye and at 5:30pm on a Friday thats probably the last thing you want to be taking your time doing!

Watch below to learn how to do fast makeup for a rockin’ Friday night look

I hope you liked my fast makeup for Friday night video! If you did, pretty please hit the thumbs up button - it means the world to me!

If you want to see a more dramatic and black smokey eye then check out my Black Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial.

You can find all the products I used in this tutorial in my Beauty Box.

And remember, you don't need to be a model to look like you've stepped off the runway.

Big Love,

PS - if you’re at work and can’t watch this video right now, here are all the products I used

First I primed my face using Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer. I just rubbed that all over my face using my fingertips - whenever you use your hands on your face make sure that they are clean!

For Foundation I used the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse (in Natural Beige). This foundation is ah-mazing! Its a medium coverage and has this lovely air brush finish.

I concealed my under eyes with Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer (in 02/Nude). As this concealer is highlighting its really going to lift my under eyes and make me look radiant.

I filled my eyebrows in using the Liner colour in the Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Palette (Natural Smokes).

Eye Shadow

For eyeshadow continued to use the Maybelline Expert Wear Quad. These eyeshadow pallets are great because they tell you which colour goes where on your eye so make it really easy to use if youre not sure! I started by applying the Base colour to my eyelid and brow bone. I then took the Lid colour to the lower half of my lid, then I took the Crease colour and applied that through the crease at the outer corner of my eye.

To achieve the black smokey eye affect I use the Maybelline Master Smoky Crayon in black. This is a really great product to keep in your handbag because its super easy to use - you can take your day look straight to a night look simply with this crayon and a lipstick change.

First I used the crayon to line from the outer corner of my top lash line to half way across my eye lid, I also added a little wing at the outer corner of my eye and just a dash underneath my eye too. I then took the sponge tip that is on the end of the crayon and softly started blending that crayon out.

I then lined my water line with the Maybelline Master Liner in black.

For Mascara I used Maybelline The Colossal VolumExpress Mascara in Smoky Eyes - but of course!

On my cheeks I use Maybelline Fit Me! Blush in Medium Nude. Its very well pigmented and has a lovely glow to it - perfect for night time and lots of selfies!

Lipstick (plus a little trick)

Before I applied my lipstick I made them look a little fuller by applying a tiny amount of Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer in Cafe (which is really dark and a great contouring colour!) I applied a small line (about 1cm) of this concealer at the centre of my bottom lip line, and also applied some of the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer that I used under my eyes earlier to my cupids bow.

For lipstick I used Maybelline Bold Matte in Deep Red (MAT6).
